As two ski bums who traveled the globe chasing the best mountains and resorts the world has to offer, it has lead us to opening BUTTER INN in the one of the snowiest places on earth. HAKUBA. Where the snow is quality all season long, from mellow resort riding, to heart racing tight tree skiing, to unbelievable backcountry powder! The mountains in the Hakuba valley have something for everyone.
Butter inn is located in the northern end of the valley sitting at 850m above sea level with
Norikura ski resort wrapping around allowing ski inn/ski out access to norikura and cortina resorts. With a new lift added in 2023 it boasts some of the best riding in the valley. Come and see for yourself, it will not disappoint!!

From dorms to doubles we have a range of rooms to suit any budget. Whether you’re looking to kick it with a group of mates, travelling solo and saving on spend, or are travelling with your significant other, rest assured you’ll get a great nights sleep in our comfortable beds.

Our main priority is ensuring you have an amazing time in Hakuba, ensuring that you have the best holiday possible. From picking you up on arrival, shuttling you to/from your favourite mountains and dropping you off at the end-of-your-stay, there’s no task too tall.

WHAT WE GOT
We got the digs the make your stay as comfortable as possible. Through blood, sweat and tears we’ve renovated our property from top to tail to provide our guests with everything they need (and nothing they don’t) for their Hakuba holiday. Whether it be places to hang out social or escape away there somewhere in Buttered Inn just for you.

Only a short distance from the lifts where at the front-row to one of the snowiest resort in the Hakuba Valley. Norikura Ski Resort, in the Hakuba Valley, is blessed with a huge annual snowfall and some excellent terrain, making it one of the best destinations for powder days in the Nagano region. With a newly installed backcountry lift, amazing tree skiing, beginner/intermediate slopes and a ski-able connection to the famed Cortina Resort, there really is something for everyone.
